Safe Bouldering

  • Do a warm-up before you start bouldering.
  • Wait your turn and maintain a sufficient distance (1.50 m) from climbers to avoid being hit during a fall or dynamic movement.
  • Cleaning holds improves grip; use the brushing sticks in the hall.
  • Ensure you can safely jump down from any position, although climbing down is preferred.
  • Try to land flat on your feet.
  • Distribute the impact; land on both feet.
  • Never land with straight arms or legs.
  • Bend your knees upon landing.
  • Roll backward when falling from a height.
  • Do not bend forward upon landing.
  • Make sure you master the correct falling technique. Watch the video on our website and/or ask for an explanation at the front desk.
